  • Tan Soon Kiat, Co-Producer

Sook Kiat co-produces A Nation in Concert 3 with Jerry.

Soon Kiat is currently working as an Engineer in Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. From a young age, he has been intrigued by the performing arts and in his junior college days, he started to dabble in choral singing which he developed a passion for. He then continued his love affair with music when he joined the SAF Music and Drama Company. He loves to sing acapella which led him to join and form his own acapella groups, BCos and Rewind. In addition to singing, he had also performed in musicals such as Chang and Eng and Mr Beng.

  • David Kong, Funding

David believes in serving the community as a means for him to pay forward. He has received a lot of guidance and opportunities throughout his career. The way for him to show his gratitude is for him to help the less privilege ones. In the past, he was actively involved as a volunteer to raise fund for many charities. He was also a volunteer with MINDS during his NS days.

David works as a Regional Director for an MNC in a telecommunication industry. David started as a technician 20 years ago and proved himself to be highly competent despite the lack of academic qualification.

  • Alvin Lim, Sales, Marketing and Accounts

A vision with a sound philosophy is your greatest asset - at the heart of Alvin’s practicing philosophy lies the belief that empowering the minds of people to reach their limits is that perfect gift, a belief that has thus given birth to a unique blend of practicality and sensibility. His earlier experiences as a director in LEO club has led him to understand the importance of community service.

Alvin is working as an analyst for an asset management firm, having graduated from NUS with an Engineering degree and completed his professional studies in accounting with ACCA.

  • Josephine Ma, Secretary and Welfare

Josephine is currently working as an administrator in a water-treatment company. As a student, she was awarded the Merit Award from her school, Singapore Courtesy Merit Award and Bronze in National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA). She was a cadet inspector in the National Police Cadet Corp and was awarded the Best Unit Cadet and the Distinction Award for Friends of School. She was introduced to SPACES Community via project ‘Cruising Down Memory Lane’. This is her third year volunteering in A Nation In Concert.

  • Yvonne Tong, Liaison

Yvonne has been actively involved in the social service sector since 10 years back, on both professional and personal capacities. This is her 3rd year volunteering in A Nation in Concert. Her firm belief in harnessing different possibilities in individuals and creating opportunities is for all of us to see those possibilities that drive her forward in her journey with anyone who needs help. Disability is a matter of perspective, not an absolute.

  • Ross Francisco, Communications & Publications

Ross is excited to get involved as the Publications Manager in ANIC 2008 on his 2nd time round. He spearheads the development of media content for publication of booklets and online website. His experience in volunteerism all started when he was in high school and continued even on his university years. He engaged in various extra-curricular activities during school days such as newspaper publications editing and layout, providing free math tuition, conducting university freshmen orientation, and going to nearby towns for community service and outreach programs. Ross is a Regional Technical Engineer for a Telecom MNC, handling all APAC accounts. Prior to that, he used to work for StarHub as an SMS Engineer. He holds a BS in Mathematics with Cum Laude Latin Honours from De La Salle University in Manila.

  • Eric Sin, PR & Marketing

Eric Sin is currently working as a Global Assignment Consultant for SIRVA Relocation.  His job involves being the main point of contact of expatriates inbound to Singapore, mainly for financial institutions, assisting with immigration permits, getting an ideal home, recommending schools for their children and ensuring that their shipment is well taken care of. Eric graduated with a BS (HON) in Management from University of Ireland in Dublin.

  • Jeffrey Soh, Sales & Marketing

Jeffrey lost most of his sight a year ago due to glaucoma while serving in the military. Despite his limited vision, he continues to participate actively in various activities. He is awarded a scholarship by the Asia Pacific Breweries and will be reading Economics in the Singapore Management University. Jeffrey knows that his visual handicap will be a major challenge throughout his life but he will not allow it to be his weakness. Instead, he hopes to inspire everyone with his will and determination. ‘A Nation In Concert’ is his first major community involvement and he hopes to contribute as much as possible.

  • Douglas Ng, Special Projects

Douglas serendipitously discovered A Nation In Concert this year and decided to contribute as an odd-jobs person in working with the committee in whatever capacity possible — driven by a very simple philosophy exemplified in his favourite quote: “I shall come this way but once, what good I may, let me do now, for I shall not come this way again.”

His past exposure and experience with the performing arts included producing a Hall Musical during his University days, and he sang tenor in the Singapore Symphonic Chorus some years ago. Getting involved in A Nation In Concert was coming full circle for him. Douglas graduated from NTU in 2004 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Technology) and currently runs an Internet Software company providing Internet Marketing Software.
